Nigel Shomari Nicholas is a Saint Lucian media and digital content producer and the founder of Jwé Kwéyòl (Wi, Nou Ka Palé Kwéyòl), a free web platform dedicated to teaching and celebrating Saint Lucian Kwéyòl through games, music and culture.

“Kwéyòl is who we are, but too many of our young people only hear it from grandparents and never get to play in it.”

What Nigel built

  • More than 20 free Saint Lucian Kwéyòl games, in Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
  • MaMa send ou an boutik!, an errand game where players read Mama's list in Kwéyòl and shop for it.
  • Private rooms for Ludo, Domino Kwéyòl, Battleship Kwéyòl and Wordle, so families and friends can play each other online.
  • Games about Saint Lucia's districts and communities, pinned to an island map.
  • Jwé Kwéyòl Radio, playing Kwéyòl music around the clock.

Nigel launched the platform for Mwa Éwitaj Kwéyòl, Saint Lucia's Creole Heritage Month, in October 2026. Read the launch announcement.
