Appointment of Coordinator: Mwa Éwitaj Kwéyòl (Creole Heritage Month) 2026

The Monsignor Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre (FRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hilary La Force, former Executive Director of the Folk Research Centre, as Creole Heritage Month (CHM) 2026 Coordinator effective October 6 to November 6, 2026.

Mr. La Force will serve as a key liaison between the FRC, participating communities, foreign delegations and other stakeholders. He will provide guidance and support to participating communities, as needed, in the planning and organisation of their main Jounén Kwéyòl events, while facilitating coordination among stakeholders and supporting the successful implementation of the month-long programme.

He will also support the coordination of media engagement and the promotion of Creole Heritage Month and Jounen Kwéyòl to the wider public.
