How to Play Tap the District: a Saint Lucian Kwéyòl Places Game
Goal
Read the name of a Saint Lucian community and tap its district on the map of the island.
How to play
- Read the community's name, and the area it sits in when it has one.
- Tap its district on the map, then press Choose this district. Tapping only selects, so a slip of the finger never answers.
- At Advanced, a right answer earns a bonus question: which of two pins is the place?
- Play 8 questions.
Scoring
A right tap earns 100 points plus up to 50 for speed, and the ×2 stretch question doubles that. From your third right answer in a row, each adds 25 more. The pin bonus adds 50.
Timer
15 seconds per question. When it hits 0, the question counts as wrong and the district is shown.
Levels
Every round mixes in 2 easier questions and one harder ×2 stretch question.
Beginner
Towns, villages and communities of 1,000 people or more.
Intermediate
Communities of 300 to 999 people.
Advanced
Small communities of under 300 people, plus the pin bonus after each right tap.
Tips
- Pinch the map, or use the + button, to zoom in. Drag to move around once you've zoomed.
- Canaries and Anse-la-Raye are small on the map: zoom in, or tap near their middle.
