How to Play Scrabble Board: a Saint Lucian Kwéyòl Word-Building Game
Goal
Build Saint Lucian Kwéyòl words on the board to score as many points as you can.
How to play
- Pick Solo, vs Computer, or vs Friend.
- Tap a tile, then a board square. Pick Across → or Down ↓, then tap Play Word.
- Your first word must cover the center star. Later words must touch tiles on the board.
- Words must be in the word list for your level. Recall takes your tiles back.
- The game ends when the tiles run out, after two passes in a row, or when you tap End Game.
Scoring
Add up your letter points. DL/TL squares boost one letter, and DW/TW squares boost the whole word. Using all 7 tiles earns 35 extra points.
Levels
Scrabble points are the same at every level. Assist only costs points when it finds a move.
Beginner
Words come from the Beginner word list. 💡 Assist is free, up to 5 times per game, and shows you a whole word and where to put it.
Intermediate
Words come from the Intermediate word list. Assist has no limit but costs 15 points each time, and only tells you how long a word is and its first letter.
Advanced
Words come from the Advanced word list. Assist costs 15 points each time and only tells you how many points a move could score.
Tips
- Letters that are rare in Saint Lucian Kwéyòl are worth more. Each tile shows its value.
- The ★ tile is a blank: it can be any letter, but it's worth 0 points.
- Only the main word you play is checked. Other words it happens to touch aren't.
- In vs Computer and vs Friend, 🚩 Challenge checks your opponent's last word. Every word is already checked when it's played, so a challenge always shows it's real, and you lose your turn.
- In vs Friend, share your room code with a friend to play together. You can send emoji and quick messages.
