How to Play Ludo Kwéyòl: a Saint Lucian Kwéyòl Board Game

Goal

Get all 4 of your tokens around the board and home before anyone else.

How to play

1. Pick Classic or Vocab mode, then play the computer or your friends.
2. Roll the dice. The number shows in Kwéyòl: an, dé, twa, kat, senk, sis (1 to 6).
3. Roll a 6 to bring a token out, then tap a token to move it.
4. Land on another player’s token to send it back to their yard (except on safe squares).
5. A 6 means roll again, but three 6s in a row ends your turn. Get home with an exact roll.

Scoring

No points here: the first player to get all 4 tokens home wins.

Timer

Each turn has a 35-second limit. If you run out of time, your turn is skipped.

Levels

In Classic mode, the level doesn't matter. Ludo games don't count toward unlocking Intermediate or Advanced in other games.

Tips

• Wins are saved on your profile.
• In Vocab mode, some squares have a ❓. Land on one and you'll be asked what a Kwéyòl word means. Get it right for an extra roll. Computer players skip the questions.
• Safe squares, including every color's starting square, protect your tokens from being captured.
• Two of your own tokens can share a square.
• To play with friends, share the invite link. The host can fill empty seats with computer players, and everyone at the table can chat.
