How to Play Ki Distrik?: a Saint Lucian Kwéyòl Places Game
Ki Distrik? means “Which district?”.
Goal
Read the name of a Saint Lucian community and pick the district it belongs to.
How to play
- Read the community's name, and the area it sits in when it has one.
- Pick its district from 4 choices within 15 seconds.
- See it on a small map of the island, with its population.
- Play 8 questions.
Scoring
A right answer earns 100 points plus up to 50 for speed, and the ×2 stretch question doubles that. From your third right answer in a row, each adds 25 more. Wrong or late answers get 0.
Timer
15 seconds per question. When it hits 0, the question counts as wrong and the answer is shown.
Levels
Every round mixes in 2 easier questions and one harder ×2 stretch question.
Beginner
Towns, villages and communities of 1,000 people or more. The wrong choices are districts far away.
Intermediate
Communities of 300 to 999 people, with wrong choices from anywhere on the island.
Advanced
Small communities of under 300 people, with neighbouring districts as the wrong choices.
Tips
- Many place names repeat around the island, so the area shown under a name is a useful clue.
- Watch the map after each answer: it helps you learn which part of the island each place is in.
