How to Play Mennen Nonm-lan: a Saint Lucian Kwéyòl Number Matching Game
Mennen Nonm-lan means “Number Match”.
Goal
Match each number to its Saint Lucian Kwéyòl number word as fast as you can.
How to play
- You get 6 numbers (like 7) and 6 Kwéyòl number words, shuffled into two columns.
- Tap a number, then tap the word you think it goes with.
- A right pair locks in place. A wrong pair counts as a mistake and resets.
- Keep going until all 6 pairs are matched.
Scoring
You start with 1,000 points. You lose 8 points for every second and 40 for every mistake, but you always get at least 100. Higher levels multiply your score.
Timer
The clock counts up from the moment the round appears. There's no time limit, but every second costs 8 points.
Levels
Beginner
Numbers 1 to 10. Score × 1.
Intermediate
Numbers 11 to 20. Score × 1.3.
Advanced
Big round numbers: 30 to 100, and 1,000. Score × 1.6.
Tips
- Match the numbers you know best first. That leaves fewer choices for the tricky ones.
